CBD & CBG in Skincare
CBD and CBG in skin care - what is it and why is it necessary for optimal skin health?
CBD
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a substance found in the cannabis plant and (which) is one of hundreds of substances called cannabinoids.
CBD works by reducing the breakdown of our skin's own endocannabinoids and this contributes to balancing the skin's ECS. In this way, CBD has a fantastic positive effect on the skin.
CBD has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, making it a good choice to help dry, sensitive and/or inflamed skin. CBD can also help improve the skin's structure and elasticity, which in turn leads to increased firmness and glow.
Another advantage of CBD is that it has no known side effects, and it is safe to use on the skin.
CBD - Three key features:
1. Increases elasticity, firmness and shine
2. Suppresses inflammations
3. Reduces the risk of oily skin
CBG
Cannabigerol, or CBG, is another substance found in the cannabis plant. Like CBD, CBG is one of the hundreds of cannabinoids found in cannabis, and it has sparked interest in its possible health benefits.
Cannabigerol (CBG) is also called âthe mother of all cannabinoidsâ because it is the first cannabinoid that is formed in the cannabis plant and is then converted into other cannabinoids (incl. CBD).
CBG acts as an identical copy of the endocannabinoids that our body produces itself. It can therefore interact with the skin's receptors and thus make all the functions of the skin work in the best possible way.
CBG has also, like CBD, been shown to have very anti-inflammatory properties, making it a good choice for helping dry, sensitive or inflamed skin. CBG can also help improve skin texture and elasticity, contributing to overall better skin health with more radiance, elasticity and firmness.
